SPOOK ENGINE
(1995 - 1998)
Spook Engine wrote, performed and recorded thought-provoking music, from 1995 through 1998. A love of sound and meaning permeates each Spook Engine song as the band has the ability to possess the listeners and bring them to other worlds (where the differences reveal the reality of our own).
The band is a rare and beautiful example of imagination swimming in a heavy dose of bass, reminiscent of classic blues and jazz but with a louder twist of something inexplicable that lies on the edge of psychedelic. With ever-changing members, the band boasts 18 performers on the release, "Sounds of An Approaching Era".
Members:
Alessandra Bocco: electric bass
Joy Buckout: percussion
CX3: electric bass
Rick Deitch: saxophone
Exploding Frog: conscious shock provision
Scott Garapolo: drums, djembe
David Greenberg: acoustic guitar
Dean Hagerty: electric & acoustic guitars, piano
Raphael Heatley: electric bass, drums, piano, words
